HÜDIG -Lowering the groundwater level with Hüdig HC 468/15 Whisper SL & Grindex Major N
Recently, 3 Hüdig HC468/15 Whisper SL groundwater lowering units and 2 Grindex Major N submersible wastewater pumps were used for the construction of a new hotel with an underground car park.
The construction site was located in Paderborn in the immediate vicinity of a residential area. This meant that the contractor had special requirements in terms of noise protection.
Hüdig HC468/15 Whisper SL units achieve a calculated sound pressure level at 7m or 10m of just 46 dB(A) / 44 dB(A) due to their particularly effective sound insulation.
The excavation pit had a size of approx. 60 x 45m and two lift shafts were planned. Due to the high groundwater volume, a total of 75 filter lances of 5 m length were used. Filter lances of 5 m length each were used. The lift shafts were lowered in open dewatering, using one Grindex submersible wastewater pump of the type Major N for each shaft.
